Print Recipe

I started with 5 pieces of thick cardstock. My first piece is 7 1/4 by 7 1/4 and scored on all 4 sides at 1 inch and 2 inch. this is the lid.

Next one is 6 3/4 by 6 1/2 and it is scored on the longer side 6 1/4 and 3 1/8. then on the shorter side score 3 1/4. the lines show my scores.

The next one is 6 1/2 by 6 1/4. score on long side 3 1/8 and on short side 3 1/4.

Last, we have the drawers I cut 2 of these.
They are 6" by 6". scored at 1 1/2 inch on all 4 sides.

Then to decorate it I cut cardstock at 3 by 3, then cut 4 at 3 by 2 7/8", cut 4 at 3 by 3 /4 and cut 4 at 2 3/4 by 1 1/4.

Then the designer paper. this is 2 7/8 by 2 7/8, cut 4 at 2 7/8 by 2 3/4, cut 4 at 2 5/8 by 1 1/8, cut 4 at 2 7/8 by 5/8.

Burnish all the scores. Start with the lid. take the 7 1.4 piece and cut out the 3 corner squares as shown.

Then make a tab on the remaining square I cut them alternation horizontal, vertical.

next adhere the tab to the adjacent side.

last fold the 1inch piece over the tab, do this on all 4 sides.

the drawers are next, remember to do 2 of these.
start with the 6 by 6 piece and cut and miter one of the sides on all 4 as seen in photo.

now adhere them to the remaining side. do this on all 4 sides. this box will be 3 by 3 so I took at piece of cardstock that is 2 7/8 by 2 7/8 and adhered it inside the box.

take the last 2 pieces and line up the 6 1/2 sides. make sure edges and scored are aligned then cut off part of the little scored piece adhere it to the other piece.

then adhere top to bottom making it a single piece

it should look like this

add first drawer on the bottom keeping it away from scores and with no gaps.

then add second drawer on the top of first

now the box is done all that left is to decorate

to decorate I used the 2 7/8 square with the 3-inch square for the top of the lid

the 3 x3/4 and the 2 7/8 x 5/8 for the sides of the lid

the 2 5/8 x 1 1/8 and the 2 3/4 x1 1/4 go on the drawers

last the 3 x27/8 and the 2 7/8x2 3/4 will go on the sides of the base of the box

this is the box all decorated no all you need to do is the top.
