Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 3 pieces each 1-5/8" x 3-7/8" of small purple watercolored poppies from Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, cut so the poppies are vertical on the vertical rectangles
- 3-1/2" x 4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the three rectangles of Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper on the Blackberry Bliss rectangle to figure out spacing. When happy with the placement, adhere the rectangles in place.
Adhere the Blackberry Bliss rectangle to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Mount the grouping of small poppy flowers on stems image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the larger label die with notched corners from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flowers on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the flowers are centered side to side. Run through the tool.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the poppies label cut out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Rich Razzleberry and Dark and Light Blackberry Bliss Markers to color in the flowers.
Use the Color Lifter Marker to remove any excess color as needed.
Pick out the small, solid, filigree circle die and the strip of filigree die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put them on top of the Basic Black rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the dies do not overlap. Leave room to cut out another of each of the dies. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat so you have 2 of each shape cut out.
Put a thin line of SNAIL along the top and bottom edges of the colored poppies label cut out on the back. Adhere the black filigree strips to the top and bottom edges so the loops poke out and just a thin line of black shows.
Put a line of SNAIL along the left and right edges of the colored poppies label cut out on the back. Adhere the black filigree circles to the left and right sides so about half of the circles show. Make sure you have a sharp point centered on the left or right side pointing either left or right.
Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the matted poppies label cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the matted label cut out to the front of the card in the center.
Cut a 9-1/2" piece of Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the bottom right corner of the label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large pearls from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the corners on the black filigree circles sticking out from the label cut out on the left and right sides.
