Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 6" x 9-1/4" of lighter blue OR yellow watery design from Waves Of The Ocean 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" from Daffodil Delight OR Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Coastal Cabana OR So Saffron Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" of darker blue and green watery design OR yellow watery design from Waves Of The Ocean 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Daffodil Delight OR Coastal Cabana Cardstock
Place the large designer paper piece on your Paper Trimmer so a short edge is along the top. Use the scoring tool to score at the 5/8" mark. Rotate the designer paper and put a long edge along the top. Use the scoring tool to score at the 2-3/4" and 7" marks.
Fold the designer paper on all score lines.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off the 5/8" wide strips at the bottom of the 2-3/4" and 7" side flaps. Cut just above the 5/8" score line.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut angles on the edges of the 5/8" strip at the bottom of the central panel.
Unlock the Tailored Tag Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the top of the central panel of designer paper into the punch part way and get the punching area centered side to side on the central panel. Punch. This is giving you a triangular notch at the top of the central panel to make it easier to slide the card insert in and out of the pocket.
Put a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the inside long edge of the larger side flap. Remove the protective backing and fold the side flaps in to adhere them together.
Put a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the inside of the skinny, bottom flap. Remove the protective backing and fold the bottom flap up to adhere it in place and complete the pocket.
Mount the Butterfly Brilliance stamp on Block F. Place the stamp rubber side up on your work surface which is protected by a piece of Grid Paper. Ink up the small butterfly in the upper left corner of the stamp using the Daffodil Delight or Pacific Point Ink Pad. Use the Simply Shammy to clean ink off any surrounding butterflies as needed. Carefully turn the stamp over and stamp the small butterfly image in the bottom left corner of the vertical white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Daffodil Delight or Coastal Cabana rectangle.
Slide the matted card into the pocket.
Place the Butterfly Brilliance stamp on Block F rubber side up on your work surface which is protected by a piece of Grid Paper. Ink up the large butterfly in the upper right corner of the stamp using the Pacific Point or Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Carefully turn the stamp over and stamp the butterfly image in the center of the horizontal Coastal Cabana or So Saffron rectangle.
Pick out the large, open, interconnected butterflies die from the Brilliant Wings Dies. Place the die on top of the stamped butterfly rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the open butterfly in the upper left corner is centered over the butterfly image. Run through the machine.
Pick out the single, matching, detailed, large butterfly die from the Brilliant Wings Dies. Place the die on top of the small blue and green or yellow watery designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen down the back of the detailed butterfly cut out body to adhere the detailed butterfly cut out to the stamped, solid, butterfly cut out so it is centered.
As you are ready to stamp using the Art Gallery Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the shorter sentiment of choice from the Art Gallery Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pacific Point or Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the thin strip of Daffodil Delight or Coastal Cabana Cardstock so the end of the sentiment is closer to the right edge of the strip.
Pick out the long, wavy edge, banner die from the Floral Gallery Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die top to bottom and slightly closer to the right edge. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the pocket so it is about 1-1/4" up from the bottom and close to the right edge.
Adhere the layered butterfly to the front of the pocket at a slight angle so it covers the left end of the sentiment cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a silver diamond-shaped epoxy shape from a sheet of Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the detailed butterfly body.
Slightly bend up the wings of the detailed butterfly cut out if desired.
