Project Recipe
Cutting
12 x 5 1/2 Basic Black Cardstock; score at 2", 4", 8", 10"
Z Fold Base (2); Basic Black 1 1/2 x 12; score at 4", 6", 8", 10"
Z Fold top layer (2); Very Vanilla 1 1/4 x 11 3/4; line up at 1/8: mark on scorer and then score at 4, 6, 8, 10
Center Layer Very Vanilla 3 x 10 3/4
Mechanism for inside box to hold die cuts: Very Vanilla 8 x 1 1/4; score at 1/2", 2 1/2", 3", 5", 5 1/2", 7 1/2"
Scraps for Dir Cuts - Very Vanilla
Preparation
Top Z Fold: With long side to the right. Sponge Balmy Blue to create sky. Stamp Happy Birthday on 1st panel on the left. Starting at the second fold, stamp birds in tuxedo black along the skyline.
Bottom Z Fold: With long side to the left. Stamp water image from High Tide along the bottom.
Center Piece: Using the sponge brayer; create the background: Bottom portion is Old Olive, 2nd level overlapping is Daffodil Delight; 3rd layer is Crushed Curry and final top layer is Cajun Craze.
Using Lovely as a Tree and Mossy Meadow Ink Stamp trees across the center piece adding a second layer slightly higher and offset stamping off.
Once completed, cut at1 3/4", cut again at 1 3/4", then cut at 3 3/4", then again at 1 3/4". This gives you 5 panels which you should keep in order!
Die Cut Pieces
On Very Vanilla using Tuxedo Black ink, stamp the fisherman and the fish. color using Blendables. Die Cut using a Magnetic Plate to align images.
Die cut the two fish and the cattails (3) from Very Vanilla. Color using Blendables.
Assembly
Adhere the top Z fold layer to the top Z fold base.
Adhere the bottom Z fold layer to the bottom z fold base.
Adhere the panels in order to the center of the card base.
Adhere one of the cattails to the 4th panel and then add a mini dimensional above where the bottom z fold will be to add dimension.
Adhere the bottom Z fold layer to the card base by applying adhesive the first 2 " of the first panel, none to the second panel, and covering the 3rd, 4th, and 5th panels.
Create the internal mechanism to hold the die cuts by folding the scored piece so that the first half inch is to the front and the last half inch is to the back. apply adhesive to the backside of the first and 3rd 1/2 panels, apply adhesive to the frontside of the 2nd and 4th 1/2 panels.
Stick this inside the box created by the bottom z fold adhering both of the end flaps and then pushing together to adhere the other 2 ends.
Add the die cut pieces to the inside layers of the box with the fish in the middle.
Using a dimensional attach the fisherman and then adhere the fish to the first and 4th panels at the bottom.
Attach the top Z fold by adding adhesive to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd panels and then to the last 2' of the last panel. Attach to the card base.
