Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2" x 4" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 2-7/8" of small purple and pink roses and green leaves and sprigs on white background design from Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the 2" x 4" Purple Posy strip into the punch as far as it will go. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Hold the unlocked Delightful Tag Topper Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one short edge of the Best Dressed Designer Paper strip into the punch until the edge of the paper is just past the first set of pointy bumps on the punch. Punch.
Pick out the pointed, heart lace die from the Delicate Lace Dies. Put it on top of the Purple Posy tag on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the points almost touch the bottom edge of the tag. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the punched designer paper on the tag to see how much paper you will need to cut off from the bottom and top of the paper strip to layer it on the tag so just a bit of purple shows on the sides and the top punched area of the designer paper is straight across and the bottom of the designer paper overlaps the top of the lace cut out just a tiny bit.
Use the Paper Trimmer to cut off as much as needed from the top and bottom of the designer paper.
Adhere the designer paper to the tag.
Rub the Embossing Buddy across the Petal Pink rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Dressed To Impress Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "hello fabulous!" sentiment from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad and stamp it in the center of the Petal Pink rectangle. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Tip: I use a fine-tip paintbrush to knock off any excess powder that is stuck anywhere I don't want it.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Re-ink just the word "hello" on the sentiment by carefully pressing the stamp to the edge of the open Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp over the top of the heat embossed word "hello" slightly offset to create a shadow image. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Pick out the the rectangle with a bump on top pocket die from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered and close to the bottom edge. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the tag so it is centered side to side and about 1" from the bottom.
Mount the single flower with leaves image from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching single flower with leaves die from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put it on top of the flower image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the flower with leaves cut out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Purple Posy Dark and Light Stampin' Blends and the Petal Pink Dark and Light Stampin' Blends to color in the flower.
Use the Mint Macaron Dark and Light Stampin' Blends to color in the leaves.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut out to the tag so it overlaps the upper right corner of the sentiment cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a diamond shaped gem from a sheet of Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the sentiment cut out just to the right of the word "hello."
Cut a 5" piece of Mint Macaron 1/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Poke the folded end through the hole in the top of the tag.
Pick out a Petal Pink tassel from the Best Dressed Tassels.
Thread the tassel onto the looped end of the ribbon.
Put the loose ends of the ribbon through the loop of ribbon. Tighten the ribbon in place.
Tie the loose ends of the ribbon together at the top to make a loop of ribbon at the top of the tag. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Fill your tin with treats (or leave it full of the laser-cut cards and envelopes). Put the lid back on.
Cut a 20" piece of Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon around the top of the tin and tie a half knot. Slide the tag ribbon onto one end of the ribbon around the tin. Finish tying the knot and trim the ends of the ribbon on the tin.
