T his is the birthday card for those who love fishing. The paper pack Let’s Go Fishing has some wonderful fishing related prints.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Misty Moonlight 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Misty Moonlight paper 4 X 5 ¼. From the Let’s Go Fishing print paper pack, cut water print 3 X 4, cut the fishing lures print paper 1 X4. Attach the 3 X 4 water print paper to the bottom of the Misty Moonlight card mat, attach the fishing lures piece to the Misty Moonlight card mat right above the water print. Use the Twisted Rope embossing folder to emboss the card mat with the two print pieces.
Card Front: Cut Misty Moonlight 2 ¾ X 3 ¼, Cut Basic White 2 ½ X 3. Stamp birthday sentiment with Misty Moonlight ink at the bottom of the Basic White piece. I used the sentiment from Sentimental Park stamp set. Attach the stamped Basic White piece to the Misty Moonlight piece.
Fussy cut 3 fish from print paper of fish in the Let’s Go Fishing paper pack. Attach the 3 fish together with glue dots. Cut 4 of Linen Thread, attach one end behind the fish and the other end behind the Misty Moonlight mat. Attach the fish to the stamped white piece with dimensionals.
Attach the Misty Moonlight/Basic White with fish attached to the card front with dimensionals.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut one of the print papers used on the card front 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide
