S imple, religious Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Insert the large Night Of Navy rectangle into the embossing folder included with the Stars At Night Hybrid Embossing Folder so the stars are vertical on the horizontal rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Night Of Navy rectangle to the front of the Very Vanilla Thick card.
Pick out the elongated hexagon die from the Nested Essentials Dies that cuts out an elongated hexagon that is 1-3/4" x 3-7/8". Put it on top of the large vanilla rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Rub the Embossing Buddy included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit all over the small, remaining Night Of Navy rectangle.
Mount the "the Lord is my shepherd" sentiment from the Night Divine Set on Block H. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal Night Of Navy rectangle.
Lay the VersaMark stamped rectangle in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some gold powder from the Metallics Stampin' Emboss Powders so it covers the entire sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool on the highest setting until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the cardstock while you are heating it so you don't burn your fingers.
Pick out the elongated hexagon die from the Nested Essentials Dies that cuts out an elongated hexagon that is 1-1/4" x 3-3/8". Put it on top of the heat embossed sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Adhere the navy sentiment label cut out to the center of the vanilla label cut out.
Adhere the matted sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the top.
Pick out the small sheep and small cow dies from the Night Divine Dies. Put them on top of the remaining small vanilla rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the small animal cut outs to the bottom right corner of the card front as shown.
Cut a 4" piece of the Night Of Navy & Gold 1/2" Glittered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot at a slight angle to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the bottom left side of the matted sentiment.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to peel up a star from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Star Trinkets making sure you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front as shown so it overlaps the upper right side of the matted sentiment cut outs.
