Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 3-1/8" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1" square from Basic White Cardstock
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus.
Tip: To make it easier to grab the magnets and to help keep them from breaking if they snap together, wrap them in strips of washi tape or masking tape leaving folded over pieces to grab on to.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side so it is in the topmost hinge space. Put the Stamparatus Foam Mat on the base of the Stamparatus. Put a piece of Small Grid Paper on the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the large white rectangle on the base of the Stamparatus so the cardstock is vertical and is near the center of the Stamparatus base side to side and about 1-1/2" from the top. Use one magnet along the right side to hold the cardstock in place.
Pick out the set of 3 candles image from the Party Puffins Set. Place the stamp rubber side down on the cardstock on the Stamparatus base so that the candles are in the upper left corner of the cardstock and go off the left edge a tiny bit. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue or the Simply Shammy. Close the plate onto the cardstock on the Stamparatus base and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges TWO steps down. Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges TWO steps down again. Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp.
Use the Simply Shammy to completely clean the stamp. Remove the stamp from the Stamparatus plate and mount it on Block B.
Ink up the set of 3 candles image on Block B using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it on the previously stamped white vertical rectangle so the candles are just to the left and slightly higher than the first set of candles at the top of the rectangle. Let the top of the image go off the top of the rectangle a bit.
Re-ink the set of 3 candles image on Block B using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it on the previously stamped white vertical rectangle so the candles are just to the left and slightly higher than the last set of candles at the bottom of the rectangle.
Mount the little fish wrapped in a bow image from the Party Puffins Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it in the blank spaces between the previously stamped candle images on the white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the top, bottom, and left edges. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the little fish wrapped in a bow image on Block A with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it on the small square of white cardstock in the center.
Mount the puffin with a party hat on image from the Party Puffins Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller, vertical white rectangle.
Slide the upper left corner of the stamped, smaller white rectangle with the puffin in a party hat image on it into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that corner rounds. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Slide the same upper left corner of the stamped, smaller white rectangle with the puffin in a party hat image on it into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that punches the rays coming out from the tiny circle. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Put the stamped and punched if needed pieces on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to color in the fish.
Use the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in the bow on the fish stamped by itself on the small white square.
Use the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends, Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends, and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to randomly color in the bows on the fish stamped on the large white rectangle.
Use the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the candle flames.
Use the other Stampin' Blends to randomly color in the candles.
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the end of the puffin's beak and two of the dots on his party hat.
Use the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the puffin's beak, his feet and legs, and the pompom on top of his party hat.
Use the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to color in the other two dots on the puffin's party hat.
Use the Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the puffin's party hat.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Adhere the colored large white rectangle to the large Bermuda Bay rectangle and then to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Slide the upper left corner of the smaller, vertical horizontal Bermuda Bay rectangle into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that corner rounds. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Adhere the stamped, colored, and punched smaller white rectangle to the center of the punched smaller Bermuda Bay rectangle.
Adhere the matted party puffin rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the top of the card.
Mount one of the longer, skinnier sentiments from the Party Puffins Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock.
Pick out the long, wavy edge, banner die from the Floral Gallery Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the left side of the die. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment banner cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the puffin's feet and sticks out to the left side of the matted puffin image a bit.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out by hand the stamped and colored small fish wrapped in a bow image on the small square.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the cut out fish wrapped in a bow image so it overlaps the right end of the sentiment banner cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small Crushed Curry dot from the sheet of Playing With Patterns Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it over the punched circle in the upper left corner of the matted party puffin image.
