Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of multi-colored dots on white background from Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- scrap of Petal Pink Cardstock
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-5/8" circle. Place the piece of designer paper on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so the framelit is evenly spaced on the top and sides. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep the circle framelit out to use on a later step. Keep the large piece of designer paper with a circle cut in the top for this project. Keep the circle of designer paper for use on a future project..
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus and place it on your work surface. Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Place the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus making sure it is pushed into the upper right corner as far as possible. Place the 7-1/4" square of Grid Paper on top to protect the foam mat. Make sure it is pushed into the upper right corner as far as possible. Insert one of the plates into the hinges on the right side of the Stamparatus.
WITHOUT adhering it, place a piece of scratch paper behind the piece of designer paper so it shows through the circle cut into the paper. Place the piece of paper and designer paper on the base of the Stamparatus. Use the magnet to hold the scratch paper in place.
Position the pointy pennants banner stamp from the Pick A Pennant Set on the Stamparatus so the stamp is image side down and the stamp goes across the top third of the circle at a slight upward angle to the right. Close the plate onto the stamp and press firmly to make sure it is stuck to the plate.
Remove the piece of designer paper, but leave the scrap paper on the Stamparatus.
As you prepare to ink up the stamp on the Stamparatus plate each time, place the stamp case under the Stamparatus plate to give it some firmness as you ink up the stamp.
If you have a Stampin' Spot in the color you want to stamp with, then use it to ink up the stamp each time. This will help avoid getting ink on the plate where you don't want it.
If you do get ink on the plate, then wipe it off with a baby wipe, tissue, or paper towel before closing the plate to stamp to avoid getting excess ink on your project piece where you don't want it.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Close the plate onto the scratch paper and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Leave the scratch paper in place and place the piece of designer paper with the circle cut out of it back onto the scratch paper so it is positioned with the banner in the upper third of the circle.
Remove the plate from the hinges of the Stamparatus and flip it over and reinsert it into the hinges.
Position the rounded pennants banner stamp from the Pick A Pennant Set on the Stamparatus so the stamp is image-side down and the stamp goes across the bottom third of the circle at a slight downward angle to the right. Make sure the left side of the banner is just below the left side of the pointy banner. Close the plate onto the stamp and press firmly to make sure it is stuck to the plate.
Remove the piece of designer paper, but leave the scrap paper on the Stamparatus.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Close the plate onto the scratch paper and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Leave the scratch paper in place and place the piece of designer paper with the circle cut out of it back onto the scratch paper to check the positioning of the banners. If happy with the positioning, then proceed to the next step. Otherwise, turn the scratch paper over and try the previous steps again to get the positioning you want.
Remove the piece of designer paper from the Stamparatus, but leave the scratch paper in place. Place the square of white cardstock on the scratch paper on the Stamparatus so it is centered over the banners you stamped on the scratch paper. Hold the piece of cardstock in place using the magnet.
The plate with the curved pennants banner should be in use. Re-ink the stamp with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Close the plate onto the cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges of the Stamparatus and flip it over and reinsert it into the hinges so the pointy pennants banner is in use.
Re-ink the stamp with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Close the plate onto the cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Remove the white square from the Stamparatus and make sure that the bits of the the banners that you want to have showing will show through the circle cut into the designer paper. If so, proceed with the next steps.
One at a time, mount the letters you need to spell out words onto Block A. Ink them up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad to stamp them on the Mint Macaron pennants banner. Ink them up with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad to stamp them on the Petal Pink pennants banner.
Tip: Use a Simply Shammy to clean these tiny stamps. If you use a Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, then rub very gently on the Stampin' Scrub. Otherwise, these can pop off the block and go flying. Since they are clear and tiny, they are very hard to find!
If you have open pennants showing on your banners, then mount one of the corresponding shapes of patterns on Block A. Ink them up in either Mossy Meadow or Grapefruit Grove depending on the banner you are stamping on and stamp them over the empty pennants.
Mount the outline bird image on Block A. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the Petal Pink banner on the the right side.
Mount the solid bird body image on Block A. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp off once on Grid Paper. Then, stamp it inside the outline bird image.
Adhere the piece of designer paper over the stamped white square so the banners show through the circle. If needed, use Paper Snips to trim off excess white cardstock.
Adhere the designer paper/white cardstock to the large Mint Macaron rectangle and then to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 3-1/16" in diameter. Place the Rich Razzleberry square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place the 2-5/8" circle framelit inside the scalloped circle framelit so it is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the scalloped circle outline to the front of the card so it is centered over the circle cut into the designer paper.
Mount the outline bow image on Block A. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the small Mint Macaron rectangle.
Mount the tassel image on Block A. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the small Mint Macaron rectangle. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the tassel stamp with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Petal Pink Cardstock.
Pick out the matching bow framelit from the Playful Pennants Framelits. Place the stamped bow on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the bow framelit on top so it is centered over the bow image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the matching tassel framelit from the Playful Pennants Framelits. Place one of the stamped tassels on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the tassel framelit on top so it is centered over the tassel image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other tassel.
Adhere the bow cut out to the card front on the right side of the circle near the end of the Mint Macaron banner using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
Adhere the two tassels so they overlap each other on the right side of the circle near the end of the Petal Pink banner using Mini Glue Dots.
Carefully peel up a large and a small Blackberry Bliss dot from a sheet of Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the small dot to the center of the bow. Adhere the large dot to the top of the tassels.
Cut an 10" piece of either Mint Macaron or Grapefruit Grove twine from the Nature's Twine.
Tie a small bow in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the left side of the circle near the end of the Petal Pink banner.
