Kindest Gnomes Money Envelopes |
F un money, check, or gift card envelopes made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 7" x 7-5/8" piece of Rings Of Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, pay attention to the direction of the pattern
- 2-1/4" x 7" from coordinating cardstock (I used Night Of Navy and Poppy Parade)
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from coordinating cardstock (I used Pool Party and Poppy Parade)
Place the designer paper on the Paper Trimmer so the 7-5/8" side is horizontal. Score down at the 2" and 5" marks. Pay attention to the direction of the pattern.
Fold along the score lines.
Unlock the Label Me Lovely Punch and slide the center of the 2-5/8" x 7" flap partway into the open punch. Punch. This is creating a notch to make it easier to remove anything inserted into the envelope.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the inside left and right edges of the notched 2-5/8" x 7" flap. Remove the protective backings and fold the flap up. Press firmly. This creates the bottom of the envelope where things can be inserted.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut angles off the left and right corners of the 2" x 7" flap creating a top envelope flap.
Tip: After you cut one corner, put the cut off corner upside down on the other corner and cut along the long edge. This will make both corner cuts equal.
Place the 2-1/4" x 7" piece of coordinating cardstock (I used Night Of Navy and Poppy Parade) on top of the bottom of the envelope so the top long edge is along the score line for the top flap and the left and right edges are equal.
Put Stampin' Seal all over the inside of the top flap and fold it down onto the strip of cardstock. Press firmly.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess cardstock leaving about 1/8" showing all along the edge of the top flap.
Mount the sitting gnome image from the Kindest Gnomes Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the circle die that cuts out a 2-1/8" circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped gnome on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the gnome is centered in the circle. Run through the machine.
Place the gnome circle cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
For the blue envelopes:
Use the Light and Dark Night Of Navy Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's hat and pants.
Use the Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's shirt sleeves.
Use the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's face, nose, mouth, and hands.
Use the Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's shoes.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
For the red envelopes:
Use the Light and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's hat and pants.
Use the Light and Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's shirt sleeves.
Use the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's face, nose, mouth, and hands.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to color in the gnome's shoes.
Use the Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color in the circle around the gnome.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
Mount the "warm wishes" sentiment from the Kindest Gnomes Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the coordinating cardstock strip (I used Pool Party and Poppy Parade) slightly closer to the right side.
Pick out the banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies that cuts out a notched banner that is 3/4" x 3". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment top to bottom with the sentiment closer to the right side. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment banner cut out to the top flap of the envelope so it is about 1" from the top of the closed envelope and about 1-1/2" from the right edge of the envelope.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored gnome circle cut out to the top flap of the envelope so it covers the left end of the sentiment banner cut out and overlaps the bottom edge of the top flap just a bit. Make sure no adhesive goes over the bottom edge of the top flap though.
Cut a 9" piece of the ribbon of choice (I used Soft Sea Foam 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon, Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon, and Evening Evergreen 3/8" Windowpane Check Ribbon).
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the top flap of the envelope in the notch between the right side of the gnome circle cut out and the bottom of the sentiment banner cut out.
