Rays Of Light Sunset Boat |
F un card perfect for encouragement, congratulations, or thank you using Stampin' Up! products including one that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2022.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Tahitian Tide Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from So Saffron Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Tahitian Tide Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Mango Melody Cardstock
- 1" square of mirrored foil finish from Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack
Mount the Rays Of Light stamp on Block F. Leave the stamp rubber side up on your work surface and press the open Mango Melody Ink Pad all over it. If you get some ink in the open circle, don't worry too much. You'll be covering it later. Or, you can use a tissue or wet wipe to carefully remove excess ink from the circle.
Leave the stamp inky rubber side up vertically on your work surface. Carefully place the So Saffron rectangle vertically on top of the inky stamp. Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of the cardstock/inky rubber and rub firmly all over. Remove the Grid Paper and the inked up cardstock rectangle.
Pick out the long, skinny waves die from the Hippo Dies. Put it on top of the horizontal Tahitian Tide rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the straight edge of the die is on the bottom and the tops of the waves almost touch the top edge of the cardstock and the left edge of the die goes off the left edge of the cardstock. Run through the machine. Move the die over slightly so it overlaps the cut end of the rectangle just a bit and the right edge goes off the right edge of the cardstock. Run through the machine again. KEEP BOTH PIECES OF CARDSTOCK!
As you are ready to stamp using the Lighthouse Point Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Place the larger Tahitian Tide cut piece on the Stampin' Pierce Mat so the waves are along the top. Mount the sentiment of choice from the Lighthouse Point Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the waves Tahitian Tide rectangle as close to the bottom of the waves as possible.
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere the stamped, wave cut Tahitian Tide rectangle to the bottom of the stamped Rays Of Light rectangle so the circle in the rays is on the bottom left side. Try to get the bottom of the stamped sentiment as close to the bottom of the Rays Of Light rectangle as possible.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess Tahitian Tide cardstock along the bottom edge.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the thin line of waves cut from the top of the Tahitian Tide rectangle to the Rays Of Light rectangle so the waves are pointing up and the straight edge is tucked behind the waves at the top of the larger, stamped Tahitian Tide rectangle.
Adhere the Rays Of Light rectangle with waves attached to the front of the Tahitian Tide card.
Pick out the circle die that cuts out a 7/8" circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Put it on top of the Mango Melody square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the circle cut out to the center of the circle in the Rays Of Light image.
Pick out the boat die from the Hippo Dies.
Open the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Press the cutting side of the boat die into the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Put the inky die on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Note: The ink on the die will transfer to the cardstock as you cut out the shape. This will help give a wood look to the boat cut out.
Adhere the boat cut out to the front of the card so it is tucked between the two wave layers on the right side.
Pick out the propeller die from the Hippo Dies. Put it on top of the silver foil sheets square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the propeller cut out to the front of the card as shown so the small, thin line is tucked behind the back of the boat cut out.
