Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/2" of lightly dotted Sweet Sorbet design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" of dark Sweet Sorbet glimmer paper from 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1" x 3" of dark Parakeet Party glimmer paper from 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweetest Cherries Set, place the cardstock or glimmer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid, whole cherry image from the Sweetest Cherries Set on Block B, Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Sweet Sorbet glimmer paper. Re-ink the stamp with Sweet Sorbet ink and stamp it again on the other end of the Sweet Sorbet glimmer paper. Leave lots of room between the stamped images.
Set the stamped cherries on glimmer paper aside for a bit to let them dry.
Mount the "birthday wishes" sentiment from the Sweetest Cherries Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal white strip so it is about 1/2" from the bottom edge and about 1/4" from the right edge.
Adhere the stamped white strip to the center of the strip of Tea Boutique Designer Paper.
Adhere the layered cardstock/designer paper strip to the front of a Parakeet Party card from the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes so it is even with the left and right edges and is about 5/8" from the bottom edge.
Unlock the Cherry Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the stamped cherries into the punch and get it centered in the cherry punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other cherry. Leave the punch unlocked.
Note: Be careful touching the stamped cherries as it can take awhile for the ink to dry on the glimmer paper. If you do get ink on your fingers, be sure to wipe it off before touching anything else.
Adhere one of the punched out cherries to the white strip just to the left of the stamped sentiment as shown using Stampin' Seal.
Adhere the other punched out cherry to the white strip so it overlaps the first cherry a bit as shown using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Slide one end of the thin Granny Apple Green strip into the unlocked Cherry Builder Punch so you'll punch out one stem. Punch out another stem from the other end of the Granny Apple Green strip. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the punched out stems to the front of the card a shown so the fatter end of each stem fits into the divot at the top of each cherry and the stems cross at the top.
Slide one end of the thin Parakeet Party glimmer paper strip into the unlocked Cherry Builder Punch so you'll punch out one leaf. Punch out another leaf from the other end of the glimmer paper strip.
Use Stampin' Seal and a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the punched out leaves to the top of the stems as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small darker Sweet Sorbet dots from a sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front in the upper right corner in a straight line as shown. Use the lines drawn on the card front to help you with spacing.
