Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and glow-in-the-dark specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Orchid Oasis Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Tricks & Treats Set, place the specialty paper or cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Pick out the open dracula head die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" glow-in-the-dark rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the dracula hair image and dracula face image from the Tricks & Treats Set together on Block C so the hair and face are centered. Ink them up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it on the dracula face cut out so the hair is as close as possible to the top edge. Set aside to allow to dry.
Pick out the open label die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the remaining glow-in-the-dark rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the glow-in-the-dark label cut out. Set aside to allow to dry.
Mount the set of 3 stars image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly all over the edges of the front of the Orchid Oasis card. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a bit each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the card front.
Mount the set of 3 bats image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vertical Orchid Oasis rectangle.
Insert the stamped Orchid Oasis rectangle into the crosshatched folder included with the Basics 3D Embossing Folders so you will dry emboss about 1-1/4" along the bottom edge. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the stamped and dry embossed Orchid Oasis rectangle to the center of the black rectangle.
Cut a 3-3/4" piece of the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the stamped and dry embossed Orchid Oasis rectangle so it covers the seam between the smooth and dry embossed cardstock. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the black rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the stamped Orchid Oasis card in the center.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the dracula face cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is centered over the ribbon on the right side of the main rectangle as shown.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle on the upper left side of the main rectangle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 glow-in-the-dark bats from the sheet of Glow-In-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card around the stamped bats as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front and center it between the left side of the main rectangle and the left side of the dracula face cut out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
