Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 7-1/4" square of tiny multi-colored dots on white background design from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 3" square of tiny multi-colored dots on white background design from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper
- 2 pieces each 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-1/2" square
Follow the directions printed on the Envelope Punch Board for making an envelope that will hold a 3-1/2" x 5" card from the 7-1/4" square of Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.
Use the corner rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board to round the tips of the two large flaps.
Fold the envelope closed.
Tip: You can use the scoring tool from the Envelope Punch Board like a Bone Folder to get sharp fold lines.
Use small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the ends of three of the flaps together to make the envelope. Make sure you leave the top flap unstuck so the envelope can be opened and closed! Make sure the adhesive pieces you use are small so they don't extend past where the flaps overlap.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 3-1/8" diameter scalloped circle. Place the Real Red square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-5/8" diameter circle. Place the Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the designer paper circle cut out to the center of the scalloped red circle cut out.
As you are ready to stamp using the Candy Cane Season Set, place the cardstock or Silicone Craft Sheet on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the striped candy cane image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it as close as possible to the bottom of one of the 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" pieces of white cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Unlock the Candy Cane Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped candy cane into the punch and get it centered in the candy cane punching area. Punch. Keep both pieces of paper. Leave the punch unlocked.
Tip: If desired, use Paper Snips to trim off any excess white cardstock on the ends of the candy cane.
Slide the other piece of 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" white cardstock into the punch and get it centered in the candy cane punching area. Punch. Keep both pieces of paper. Leave the punch unlocked.
Tip: You are punching out a plain white candy cane shape!
Re-ink the candy cane stamp with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp onto the Silicone Craft Sheet and press firmly.
Carefully place the strip of 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" white cardstock with a candy cane punched out of it over the candy cane image stamped on the Silicone Craft Sheet so it outlines the candy cane image. This will act as a guide for you. Now, place the punched out plain white candy cane into the space (like a puzzle piece). Rub firmly all over the back of the cardstock.
Tip: This is transferring the ink to the shape so that you have a reverse image candy cane.
Carefully remove the cardstock pieces from the Silicone Craft Sheet. You should have a reverse image candy cane.
Adhere the two candy canes to the center of the matted designer paper circle so the two canes cross over each other.
Mount the solid bow image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp off onto Grid Paper one time. Then, WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it on the remaining end of one of the strips of white cardstock so the ends of the bow are on the bottom.
Mount the outline bow image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped bow image.
Holding the Candy Cane Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bow into the punch and get it centered in the bow punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bow to the candy canes where they cross over.
Place the remaining scrap of white cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Christmas Tags Thinlits on top so the small circle tag on the bottom of the left side is centered over the scrap of cardstock. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: Make sure none of the thinlit hangs over the edges of the platform or it will catch on the sides of the Big Shot which could damage your thinlit or Big Shot or both.
Mount the "for you!" sentiment from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small circle tag under the ribbon hole.
Put a gift card or gift certificate into the envelope and fold it shut.
Cut a 15" piece of the Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon across the center of the envelope so the ends are on the right side. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the ribbon in place on the left side of the envelope front.
Put some SNAIL on the back of the matted circles and remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape holding the ribbon in place. Adhere the matted circles to the front of the envelope on the left side so they are centered over the ribbon.
Thread the tag onto one end of the ribbon and then tie the ribbon in a knot to hold the envelope closed and the tag in place. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
