S imple, pretty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of medium darkness wood grain design from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
- 1" x 5-1/4" of small pastel flowers and leaves on white background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 5-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 3-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the strip of Delightful Daisy Designer Paper horizontally across the Peekaboo Peach rectangle about 1-1/4" from the top.
Adhere the strip of Wood Textures Designer Paper horizontally across the bottom of the Peekaboo Peach rectangle so it just overlaps the bottom of the Delightful Daisy strip.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Insert the strip of Whisper White Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "celebrate" sentiment from the Amazing You Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched strip of white cardstock so the notch is on the right and the sentiment is about 1/2" in from the notch.
Adhere the punched, stamped sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the seam between the two designer papers with the flat end flush with the left side of the cardstock/designer paper layers.
Adhere the Peekaboo Peach/designer paper layers to the front of the Flirty Flamingo card.
Place the white squares on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large outline daisy image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the squares of Whisper White Cardstock near the bottom edge. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it in the center of the other white square near the bottom edge.
Tip: If you make sure that one of the petals of the daisy is pointing straight down when you stamp it, then it will be easier to line things up in the Daisy Punch for punching the daisy out. Otherwise, you might need to cut a corner off of the cardstock so that you can move the cardstock around to line things up.
Mount the solid daisy center image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the stamped daisies.
Unlock the Daisy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped daisy squares into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. You may have to trim a bit of card stock off one corner or one edge of the square using Paper Snips to get things to line up properly. Punch.
Tip: VERY IMPORTANT - before removing the cardstock from the punch, slide a piece of copy paper into the punch. Then, slide the square of cardstock and the copy paper out at the same time. This will keep the pointy edges of the punched piece from catching on the punch and tearing.
Slide the second stamped daisy square into the punch and repeat the step above. Remember to use the copy paper to slide the punched cardstock out of the punch easily.
Adhere the two daisy punch outs on top of each other so they are slightly offset to make one big, full daisy. Make sure the daisy with the stamped center is on top.
Adhere the daisy to the card front using a Stampin' Dimensional so it is to the left of the sentiment and centered over the seam between the white sentiment strip and the Delightful Daisy Designer Paper strip.
Carefully remove a large faceted gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure you get the adhesive as well as the gem. Adhere it to the center of the daisy on the card front.
