F un tag to attach to a gift for a crafty friend using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" square from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3/4" square from Grapefruit Grove Cardstock
Mount the spools of ribbon image from the It Starts With Art Set on Block D. Ink it up with Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large white rectangle. Set aside to dry.
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short end of the Purple Posy strip into the punch as far as it will go and punch.
Mount the "let's stay up late and craft" sentiment from the It Starts With Art Set on Block A. Ink it up with Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the tag about 1/2" from the bottom edge.
Pick out the long, skinny lace die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Place the skinny white strip on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the lace die on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Use either Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the lace cut out to the bottom of the tag. Trim excess cardstock from the edges using Paper Snips.
Pick out the small, flower-shaped button die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Place the Grapefruit Grove square on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the flower-shaped button die on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the flower-shaped button cut out to the front of the tag just above the lace cut out and just to the left of the stamped sentiment.
Pick out the spools of ribbon die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Place the stamped spools of ribbon image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the spools of ribbon die on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the spools of ribbon cut out on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light Smoky Slate Marker to color in the cardboard spools.
Use the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Markers to color in the ribbon on the top spool and the heart formed by the ribbon.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Markers to color in the ribbon on the middle spool.
Use the Light and Dark Pool Party Markers to color in the ribbon on the bottom spool.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Adhere the colored spools of ribbon cut out to the top of the tag at a slight angle. The edges of the spools and the edge of the ribbon heart should go over the edges of the tag just a bit.
Pick out the large, embossed circle button die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Place the Soft Sea Foam square on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle button die on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the circle button cut out to the front of the tag on the left side so it overlaps the bottom of the spools of ribbon and the top of the flower-shaped button just a bit.
Tie a length of Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine around the gift. Then, tie the tag to the twine and trim the ends.
Cut a short length of ribbon of your choice (I used some of the Daffodil Delight ribbon from the retired Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack). Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the tag so it covers the twine tied there.
