Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 7/8" x 4-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
As you are ready to stamp using the Ice Cream Swirl Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "thanks" sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the horizontal Parakeet Party rectangle.
One at a time, peel the protective backings off of the Adhesive Sheets strips. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets strips to one side of the long, skinny Old Olive strip and one side of the long, skinny Mossy Meadow strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backings in place for now.
Pick out the long, skinny, vine with leaves die from the Jungle Pals Dies. Put it on top of the Old Olive strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the green (Old Olive) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the Mossy Meadow strip.
Carefully remove the protective backing from one of the detailed vine cut outs. Adhere it to the upper right corner of the stamped Parakeet Party rectangle at an angle. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess vine on the edges as needed. Adhere the other vine cut out in the same way so it crisscrosses the first vine. Use extra bits cut off the edges to fill in the corner.
Tip: Try to line up the ends of the vines or place them where they will be covered by the flower later.
Adhere the stamped Parakeet Party rectangle with vines attached to the center of the Basic Black rectangle.
Cut a 5-1/2" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layered and stamped cardstock rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the black rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Pick out the group of 5 large leaves in a row die from the Jungle Pals Dies. Put it on top of the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Put a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen along the bottom, flat edge of the group of 5 leaves cut out on the back side. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is as far to the left as possible on the Parakeet Party rectangle and the bottom edge is tucked under the ribbon.
Pick out the large fern-like leaf die, one of the long skinny leaf dies, one of the small leaf dies, and the slightly larger leaf die from the Jungle Pals Dies. Put them on top of the Mossy Meadow rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Do NOT let the dies overlap. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the large, fern-like leaf to the card front so it is tucked under the top of the group of 5 leaves on the left side as shown.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the stem off the long skinny leaf cut out. Then, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the long skinny leaf cut out to the front of the car so it sticks out above the group of 5 leaves between the third and fourth leaf as shown. Don't worry if a little Parakeet Party shows along the bottom edge.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the larger, remaining leaf cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the group of 5 leaves in a row between the third and fourth leaf as shown and covers in Parakeet Party showing through.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the remaining small leaf cut out to the front of the card as shown so it covers the bottom of the group of 5 leaves between the second and third leaf.
Mount the tiger image from the Jungle Pals Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pumpkin Pie rectangle.
Pick out the matching tiger die and one of the flower dies from the Jungle Pals Dies. Put the tiger die on top of the stamped tiger image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Put the flower die on the Pumpkin Pie rectangle where it fits. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the tiger cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the top of the ribbon on the right side.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the flower cut out to the upper right corner of the card amongst the vines. Use it to cover any gaps in the vines as needed.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Basic Black dot from a sheet of Classic Matte Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower cut out.
Cut a 3" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot so it is centered under the two small leaf cut outs as shown. Trim the ends.
