M asculine style Christmas card using a fun fold and Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" base from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" of green, yellow, and brown mottled trees design from Beauty Of The Earth 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the tree trunks are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3-3/8" x 9" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock, scored at 4-1/2"
- 2 pieces each 3-1/8" x 4-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Insert the Cinnamon Cider rectancle into the Bark 3D Embossing Folder so the lines are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the piece of Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper to the right side of the horizontal, dry embossed Cinnamon Cider rectangle so about 1/8" of Cinnamon Cider shows on the top, bottom, and right edges.
Fold the Mossy Meadow piece in half on the score line.
Adhere one of the Very Vanilla rectangles to the inside of the Mossy Meadow card.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the Mossy Meadow card to the front of the dry embossed Cinnamon Cider/designer paper rectangle in the center so the designer paper is on the right and the opening of the card is on the right.
Mount the deer image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left end of the remaining horizontal vanilla rectangle. Leave about 3/4" between the left edge of the deer and the left edge of the cardstock.
Mount the rabbit image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of the deer and slightly higher.
As you are ready to stamp using the Peaceful Deer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "sending love & peace this season" sentiment from the Peaceful Deer Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the horizontal vanilla rectangle.
Mount the set of two bare stick bushes image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the horizontal vanilla rectangle.
Mount the grass image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it under the stick bushes a couple of times and under the rabbit, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Cut an 8" piece of the Crumb Cake twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.
Fold the twine in half.
Lay the folded twine across the stamped vanilla rectangle just to the left of the deer image. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the twine over. Adhere the ends of the twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Very Vanilla rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Mossy Meadow card on the card base.
Cut a 5" piece of the Crumb Cake twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.
Fold the twine in half.
Slide one end of the folded twine under the twine already on the card in the upper left corner. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
