Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/2" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" of white leaves on blue background design from Fitting Florets 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" of light green leaves in rows on darker green background design from Fitting Florets 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the leaves are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 1" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 3/4" x 1" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
Adhere the 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Fitting Florets Designer Paper to the center of the 4" x 5-1/2" Soft Succulent rectangle so a small amount of Soft Succulent shows along the long edges. The other edges will be even.
Adhere the matted designer paper to the front of the Balmy Blue card so a small amount of blue shows along the long edges. The other edges will be even.
Pick out the large beard die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 2" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Gently squeeze some Snowfall Accents Puff Paint onto the beard cut out filling up the beard area but avoiding the small areas at the top where the hat will adhere and the nose area. Hint: the die cut beard will have areas outlined where the hat and nose go.
Use the Heat Tool to heat the puff paint until it gets dry and puffy.
Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the beard cut out in the nose area while heating the Puff Paint to avoid burning your fingers.
Pick out the large hat die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the lines of light green leaves on darker green Fitting Florets Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the leaves are pointing up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use small amounts of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the hat cut out to the top of the puffed beard cut out where they overlap.
Pick out one of the small oval dies from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the Blushing Bride rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the nose cut out to the top of the puffed beard/hat cut out where they overlap.
Pick out the legs and feet die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the small Soft Succulent rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Pick out the tag with holes on the ends die from the Candy Canes Dies. Put it on top of the 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the tag in half as shown. Then, trim down one side as shown so you have a small piece about 1-3/4" square with a big hole in it.
Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the flat edge of the cut down tag to adhere it to the top of the legs and feet cut out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the legs and feet with tag attached on top of the horizontal card front so they are just above the bottom of the designer paper and about 3/4" from the left edge . Then, WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the layered beard and hat cut outs on the front of the card so the beard covers most of the legs and feet as shown. Make sure everything fits on the designer paper okay.
When happy with the spacing and placement, carefully remove the layered beard and hat cut outs. Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional inside the center of the hole in the top of the tag attached to the legs and feet. Make sure NO adhesive touches the edges of the hole in the tag or your legs and feet won't swing. Leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Put Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the layered beard and hat behind the hat ONLY.
Remove the protective backings from all the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and carefully adhere the layered beard and hat to the front of the card. Give your card a tilt from side to side to make sure your legs and feet are going to swing freely.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it on the thin white strip slightly closer to the right side, but leave room to cut it out.
Pick out the longest, skinny label die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered top to bottom and closer to the right side. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut some of the left side of the sentiment label cut out off so the whole thing is only about 3" long.
Adhere it to the front of the card so it sticks out to the right side from behind the beard of the gnome.
Pick out the long, multi-leaved stem die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the remaining Soft Succulent strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the leaf stem cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the sentiment label cut out a bit and the stem is tucked behind the gnome's beard/hat as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two large Pacific Point gems from a sheet of Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the top of the gnome's hat and one to the center of the right end of the sentiment label cut out as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one small Pacific Point gem from a sheet of Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper right side of the card near the end of the leaf stem.
