A
5.75" Square Card featuring spotlight colouring and using products from the Perennial Essence Suite.
Project Recipe
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 11.5" x 5.75" and on the long side, score down at 5.75" to form a square card base. Fold along the score line and burnish the fold with your Bone Folder.
Using the large outline flower from the Floral Essence Stamp Set, stamp 4 images using the Blushing Bride Ink, rotating the stamp slightly for each image.
Stamp out the outline leaves using Mossy Meadow Ink.
Using the size #6 Stitched Nested Labels Die, remove the centre of your stamped card front as shown (I number my nested dies from smallest to largest - ie the smallest is #1 and the largest is #8).
Using the size #7 Stitched Nested Labels Die, cut a label from the Petal Pink Cardstock.
Using an Aqua Painter and a drop of Blushing Bride Ink Refil, watercolour the petals on the stamped label. Keep the ink light so as not to lose the outline.
Repeat this with Crushed Curry for the flower centres and Mossy Meadow for the leaves.
Go back over the areas which would be in shadow to darken the ink slightly to give dimension as shown.
Attach your watercoloured label to the Petal Pink Label, then attach this to the centre of your card, lining up the coloured and outlined images as shown. Be careful not to stick the label to the back of your card through the hole.
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 5/8" x 5 5/8" and attach it to the inside of the card front as shown.
Cut a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock measuring 2.5" x 3/4" and, using Blushing Bride Ink stamp the 'With friendly thoughts' sentiment onto it.
Attach the sentiment to the top of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals as shown.
Finish off by adding Gold Metallic Pearls to the points of the Petal Pink Label and the two ends of the sentiment panel.
Your card is now finished - sit back and admire your handiwork!
