Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Mulitpurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
For the cat box:
- 5-1/2" x 6" from Mango Melody Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Mango Melody Cardstock
For the mummy box:
- 5-1/2" x 6" from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
For the spiderweb/bat box:
- 5-1/2" x 6" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 2-1/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
For all boxes:
Pick out the half takeout box framelit from the Takeout Thinlits. Place the larger piece of cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on your Big Shot. Place the half takeout box framelit on top as close to one side as possible. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Place the cut cardstock back on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on your Big Shot. Place the half takeout box framelit on top as close to the other side as possible so it cuts out the remaining cardstock. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
For the cat box:
Mount the "enjoy!" sentiment from the Takeout Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner the larger front panel on one of the Mango Melody half box pieces.
For the mummy box:
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink. Mount the linen weave look image from the Timeless Textures Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the sides and top flaps of both Very Vanilla Thick box halves. Let some of the images go off the edges. Let the images overlap. Change the angle of the stamp every so often. Stamp some images without re-inking.
For the spiderweb/bat box:
Mount the "something sweet to eat" sentiment from the Takeout Treats Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it along the bottom of the larger front panel on one of the Highland Heather half box pieces.
For all boxes:
Fold along all score lines and crease with a Bone Folder. Put some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top of the box bottom on one of the box halves. Remove the protective backings. Adhere the other box half bottom to it. Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the small flaps on the sides of each box side. One at a time, remove the protective backings and adhere the small flaps to the side of box next to it until you have a complete box. Fill the box with treats. Close the box by interlocking the top flaps.
For the cat box:
Mount the Marbled background stamp on Block F. Leave the background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface . Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad on one quarter of the stamp.
Use the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker to draw random slightly curved lines all over the inked up portion of the background stamp.
Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the Pumpkin Pie rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Unlock the Cat Punch. Slide the stamped cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the cat punch out to the front of the Mango Melody box using Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the mummy box:
Unlock the 3/4" Circle Punch. Slide the black cardstock into the punch. Punch. Slide the cardstock over a bit and punch again so you have two black circles. Leave the punch unlocked and save the scrap of black cardstock.
Unlock the 1/2" Circle Punch. Slide the vanilla cardstock into the punch. Punch. Slide the cardstock over a bit and punch again so you have two vanilla circles.
Adhere the vanilla circles to the black circles so they aren't completely centered.
Adhere the circles to the front of the Very Vanilla Thick box so they overlap the tiniest bit and are at an angle.
Carefully peel up two medium-sized Blackberry Bliss or Basic Black dots from the sheet of Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the white circles as eyeballs.
Holding the 3/4" Circle Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the punch about half way onto the scrap of black cardstock. Punch. Move the punch down a tiny bit so you'll see a half moon sliver of black cardstock in the punching area. Punch.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the half moon sliver of black cardstock to the front of the Very Vanilla Thick box at an angle under the eyes as the mouth of the mummy.
For the spiderweb/bat box:
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Basic Black strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the Basic Black strip on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (black facing up).
Pick out the spider web thinlit and the solid bat thinlit from the Seasonal Tags Framelits. Place both thinlits on top of the Basic Black strip on the Big Shot. Make sure the thinlits do NOT overlap. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the spider web cut out and adhere it in the upper right corner of the front of the Highland Heather box.
Peel the protective backing off of the bat cut out. Adhere it to the front of the Highland Heather box at an angle between the spider web and sentiment.
Carefully peel up two smaller silver star sequins from a sheet of Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere them to the front of the Highland Heather box around the bat cut out.
