Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" of medium colored wood design from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
- 2" x 3" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock
- 1" x 6-1/2" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Fold together a Silver Mini Gable Box along all score lines. Fill the box with treats and close it by tucking the handle pieces into the curved side flap pieces.
Place the piece of 2" x 2-3/4" white cardstock on top of Grid Paper to protect your work surface from ink. Make sure that a 2" side is horizontal.
Mount the slightly curving, broad swoosh image from the Work of Art Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it on the very bottom of the white cardstock so it goes off the edges on both sides. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white cardstock so it goes off the edges on both sides and just overlaps the top of the previously stamped Bermuda Bay swoosh. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white cardstock so it goes off the edges on both sides and just overlaps the top of the previously stamped Daffodil Delight swoosh. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white cardstock so it goes off the edges on both sides and just overlaps the top of the previously stamped Lemon Lime Twist swoosh. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 2-1/4" long. Place the stamped white rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so it cuts out some of each color of swoosh. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the piece of 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" white cardstock on top of Grid Paper to protect your work surface from ink. Make sure that a 1-3/4" side is horizontal.
Mount the long, straight brushstroke image from the Work of Art Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the center of the white cardstock so it goes off the edges on both sides. Stamp again just below the previously stamped image without re-inking.
Ink up the image again with Bermuda Bay Ink and stamp once onto Grid Paper. Then, without re-inking, stamp it just over the previously stamped dark Bermuda Bay image so both ends go off the sides. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white cardstock so it goes off the edges on both sides and just overlaps the top of the previously stamped top light Bermuda Bay line. Stamp again just over the top of the Daffodil Delight line without re-inking. Repeat on the top and bottom alternating with full strength stamped images and stamped off stamped images until you have at least 4 line of yellow stamped above the Bermuda Bay lines and at least 2 stamped below the Bermuda Bay lines.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 2" long. Place the stamped white rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so it cuts out the Bermuda Bay lines near one end with just a bit of the yellow lines below it. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the large egg to the left side of the front of the box at a slight angle to the left. Make sure not to have Tear & Tape too close to the upper edge of the egg.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the small egg to the left side of the front of the box at a slight angle to the right so that it overlaps the right side of the big egg.
Pick out the long strip of grass framelit from the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. Place the strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the long strip of grass framelit on top on the right side so that you cut out the entire strip of grass. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces. Keep all the pieces.
Place the strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock back on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the long strip of grass framelit on top on the left side so that you cut out a small strip of grass. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the short strip of grass to the bottom left edge of the box so that the right end of the grass strip is even with the left edge of the small egg. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess grass strip sticking out to the left side of the box.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the long strip of grass to the bottom edge of the box so that the left end of the grass strip hits the right end of the short grass strip under the left edge of the small egg. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess grass strip sticking out to the right side of the box.
Mount the "Happy Easter" sentiment from the You're Inspiring Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Peekaboo Peach strip.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is on the right side of the banner. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the left edge of the banner cut out.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the sentiment banner cut out to the front of the box just above the grass line so the left edge is even with the seam between the two strips of grass.
Adhere the piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper to the Crumb Cake rectangle using lots of SNAIL.
Tip: Adhering the designer paper to a piece of cardstock makes it a little stronger and less likely to break or tear when you cut out the cross in the next step and then adhere it to the front of the box where the top of the cross will be sticking up over the top edge of the box a bit.
Pick out the large, skinny cross framelit from the Cross of Hope Framelits. Place the rectangle of Wood Textures Designer Paper adhered to the Crumb Cake cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Precision Base Plate on the Big Shot so you can see the designer paper. Place the cross framelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Use Mini Glue Dots behind the bottom and side bar ends of the cross to adhere it to the front of the box so it covers the seam between the grass strips and the left end of the sentiment banner cut out.
Carefully peel up a silver heart from a sheet of Metallic Enamel Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the cross.
